Elephant Rocks State Park
One of the Missouri's most famous parks-right near us!
Elephant Rocks State Park in Belleview, Missouri is located approximately 20 minutes from our location in Black. This park offers some of the most breathtaking wonders of the world. The beautiful landscape right in the heart of the Ozarks has giant, billion-year-old granite boulders that stand end-to-end like a train of circus elephants. You can follow a self-guiding trail (with Braille signage) that winds among these geologic wonders and takes you past what remains of the long-dead mining operation. These gigantic rocks began forming more than 1.5 billion years ago; today, they represent one of Missouri's most breathtaking natural beauties. Free climbing is loved among all ages. People love to take in even more of the awesome view that awaits at the top of the formations. Have a fun-filled day that's sure to be remembered. It's Midwest hiking at its finest!
